Vehicle Description

The standard REMUS vehicle is 160 cm in length and 19 cm in diameter. Without integration of additional sensors, the vehicle weighs approximately 37 kg. REMUS is deployed and recovered by two individuals from a small craft. Four lithium ion batteries power the vehicle for maximum mission distances of approximately 55 km at 3 knots.

REMUS has four main sections: the nose cone, RDI Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler module, mid-body, and tail.
