Interests:
My interests are in marine biology, fisheries, and ichthyology. For my graduate work I conducted research aboard recreational sportfishing boats targeting rockfishes and lingcod and compared size and catch trends over time. The goals of the project were to examine the effects of both fishing pressure and oceanographic conditions on individual species and examine spatial and temporal patterns for fish assemblages.
Currently, I am working full-time at Tenera Environmental studying the effect of coastal power generating stations on larval fish and invertebrates. I am also working with 2 senior project students who are continuing some of the sampling aboard the sportfishing boats.
