Research Interests:
•Collected morphological data on rockfish (Genus Sebastes) and other near-shore species for study of population frequency in local waters. Trips included tagging and observation of catches on commercial passenger fishing vessels (CPFV) from Morro Bay and Port of San Luis.
•Deployed, maintained, and sampled Standard Monitoring Units for Recruitment of Fish (SMURFs). Collected juvenile rockfish were identified to species by microscope.
•Tagged cabezon (Scorpaenichthys marmoratus) on live-trap commercial vessels for recapture studies on growth, movement, and general stock assessment.
