Research Interests:
My research interests focus primarily on phytoplankton ecology, including more specifically the dynamics of harmful algal blooms, bioluminescence, temporal and spatial dynamics of phytoplankton blooms, and the application of autonomous underwater vehicles for biological sampling. Currently I am working on projects examining the response of the phytoplankton community in Monterey Bay to upwelling events and on the time series analysis of physical and biological information from San Luis Obispo Bay.
